Cataract

A cataract is a cloudy area in the lens of the eye that leads to a decrease in vision. The symptoms of a cataract depend on its stage. The disease is causes discomfort, acute visual loss and the image become unclear.

It is impossible to cure cataracts on your own. The disease will  progress if patient do not undergo observation and treatment by an ophthalmologist n a specialized clinic.

Do not believe the myth that you can get rid of cataracts by taking vitamins, eye training, etc. Conservative treatment at an early stage is effective for slowing the progression of cataracts,  for preventing its too-rapid maturation.

The only and most effective method of treating cataracts is surgical treatment according to the phacoemulsification technology or by the extraction method (in case undergoing phacoemulsification technology is impossible). The operation is completely safe.

The lens consists of a transparent protein that allows light rays to fall on the retina. When the light rays do not fall on the retina it means lens proteins lose their transparency for various reasons. Most often, cataracts are age-related, but there are other types: congenital, traumatic cataracts – due to contusion or injury of the lens, diabetic (due to metabolic disorders).

In the clinic “OPHTHALMOLOGY GROUP” surgical treatment of cataracts is carried out by the safest and most painless method – phacoemulsification using high-quality instruments and implantation of intraocular lenses of the latest generation. Operations are performed by experienced surgeons under anesthetic control. Careful preoperative examination with the selection and calculation of the intraocular lens allows minimizing refractive errors in the postoperative period
